29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.:      (a)M. H. EBY, Inc. at 28103 Commerce Avenue, Worthing, SD 57077: On or about and at times prior to March 11, 2020, the employer did not ensure that compressed air used for cleaning was reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.  Two pneumatic air nozzles in the service bay area were used for cleaning and did not have pressure regulation. The air nozzles had pressures in excess of 110 and 45 p.s.i. This condition exposed employees to struck-by hazards and pulmonary embolism.

29 CFR 1910.253(b)(4)(i): Oxygen cylinders were stored near highly combustible material, especially oil and grease; or near reserve stocks of carbide and acetylene or other fuel gas cylinders, or near other substance likely to cause or accelerate fire; or in an acetylene generator compartment:     (a)M. H. EBY, Inc. at 28103 Commerce Avenue, Worthing, SD 57077: On or about and at times prior to March 11, 2020, the employer did not ensure that oxygen and acetylene cylinders were stored separately in that, an acetylene cylinder was stored along with propane and oxygen cylinders together in one location.  This condition exposed employees to a fire and explosion hazard.      Abatement Note: Oxygen cylinders in storage shall be separated from fuel-gas cylinders or combustible materials (especially oil or grease), a minimum distance of 20 feet (6.1 m) or by a noncombustible barrier at least 5 feet (1.5 m) high having a fire-resistance rating of at least one-half hour.

29 CFR 1910.110(f)(2)(ii): Propane containers when stored inside were located near exits, stairways, or in areas normally used or intended for the safe exit of people:    (a)M. H. EBY, Inc. at 28103 Commerce Avenue, Worthing, SD 57077: On or about and at times prior to March 11, 2020, the employer did not ensure that employees were protected from fire hazards and hazards associated with emergency egress of the shop area in that, propane cylinders used for the forklift were stored in close proximity to the emergency exit door of the shop area. This condition exposed employees to fire hazards and hazards associated with emergency egress of the shop area.
