29 CFR 1926.28(a): The employer did not require the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment in all operations where there is an exposure to hazardous conditions:         a) On or about March 13, 2020, employees were not provided with appropriate foot protection to guard against punctures and lacerations to the feet when required to work on and in roofing debris containing nails.         In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system.       a) On or about March 13, 2020, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling while performing roofing work without the benefit of fall protection from a low-slope roof having a pitch of approximately 5/12 and a ground to eave height of approximately 12 feet.               No abatement certification or documentation required for this violation.
