29 CFR 1926.451(e)(1): When scaffold platforms were more than 2 feet (0.6 m) above or below a point of access, portable ladders, hook-on ladders, attachable ladders, stair towers (scaffold stairways/towers), stairway-type ladders (such as ladder stands), ramps, walkways, integral prefabricated scaffold access, or direct access from other scaffold, structure, personnel hoist, or similar surface was not used. Crossbraces were used as a means of access. On or about March 17, 202 on the south side of a building, an employee was exposed to a fall hazard while using the crossbraces to climb the scaffold. Samuel Cruz dba Samuel Cruz Masonry was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1910.451(e)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1330919, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on October 10, 2018 with respect to a workplace located at 820 W Bay Area Blvd, Webster TX 77598.
