(a) employees operating the off-bear-belt and edger machine were exposed to trip and fall hazard from flexible cords for foot pedals and the control board. (b) employees operating the off-bear-belt and edger machine were exposed to trip and fall hazard from an accumulation of wood chips, wood dust, and other debris. (c) employees operating the off-bear-belt and edger machine were exposed to fire and burn hazards from dust accumulation on walls and other surfaces. (d) employees operating the off-bear-belt and edger machine were exposed to hazards associated with the accumulation of shop rags and other combustible material stored in and around the conveyor belt.

29 CFR 1910.265(c)(18)(i): Pulley(s), sprocket(s), sheave(s), drum(s) and block(s) of conveyor(s) were not arranged to prevent the possibility of injury due to hands or parts of clothing being caught between the belt(s) and pulley(s) or chain(s) and sprockets: a) On or about April 20, 2020, at the off-bear-edger workstation, employees were exposed to unguarded conveyor belt and pulleys on the off-bear-belt conveyor that transported lumber from the head-rig-saw to other saws, including the edger machine. b) On or about April 20, 2020, at the off-bear-edger workstation, employees were exposed to unguarded chain and sprockets of the chain conveyor that transported lumber from the edger machine. c) On or about April 20, 2020, at the off-bear-edger workstation, employees were exposed to unguarded shaft ends projecting from the off-bear-belt conveyor that transported lumber from the head-rig-saw to other saws, including the edger machine.
