Employees shall be trained in and familiar with the safety-related work practices required by 1910.331 through 1910.335 that pertain to their respective job assignments. a. On or about April 20, 2020, the employer did not ensure that employees that worked on or near exposed energized parts were adequately trained in and familiar with the safety-related work practices when performing electrical work at 240 volts and below, thereby exposing the employees to electrical shock and/or arc flash hazards.

29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(i): Employees working in areas where there are potential electrical hazards shall be provided with, and shall use, electrical protective equipment that is appropriate for the specific parts of the body to be protected and for the work to be performed. Note: Personal protective equipment requirements are contained in subpart I of this part. a. On or about April 20, 2020 and at times prior, employees performed electrical work in electrical panel boxes without any means of electrical protective equipment to protect employees from electrical arc flash and/or electrical shock up to 240 volts.
