(a) On or about June 5, 2020, and at times prior, employees were not protected from falling greater than seven feet to a lower level while unloading tires from the conveyor onto the second story tire storage area without a fall protection system in place. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) On or about June 5, 2020, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to flying chips and debris in that the Aamco brake lathe, located in the automotive shop area, was not guarded at the point of operation. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
