29 CFR 1910.28(b)(8)(ii): The employer did not apply floor markings at least 6 feet (1.8 m) from the edge of the pit in colors that contrast with the surrounding area; or place a warning line at least 6 feet (1.8 m) from the edge of the pit as well as stanchions that are capable of resisting, without tipping over, a force of at least 16 pounds (71 N) applied horizontally against the stanchion at a height of 30 inches (76 cm); or place a combination of floor markings and warning lines at least 6 feet (1.8 m) from the edge of the pit:    a) Brandon Automotive Service Area: On or about June 10, 2020, and at times prior, employees were exposed to fall hazards of 11 inches while walking and working near the alignment pit. Pit access was not limited within 6 feet of the edge, floor markings were not applied, and no caution signs were visible.

29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6)(ii): The employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the appropriate hazard warnings:  a) Brandon Automotive Service area: On or about June 10, 2020, and at times prior, employees were exposed to chemical hazards while working with chemicals such as, but not limited to: MOC Products Company A.P.C. All Purpose Cleaner (Butoxyethanol, Potassium Hydroxide), MOC Products Company Clean and Clear Glass Cleaner (2-Butoxyethanol) and Malco Clean and Shine (Dodecyldimethylamine oxide). The employer failed to ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled with the product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provides at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals.
