OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: On or about June 27, 2020, in the tortilla production area, an employee working near the VMX boleadora machine was exposed to an amputation hazard. Among other methods, one feasible and accepted means of abatement would be to ensure employees do not have access to the chain and sprocket while the machine is in operation.
