29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces were not kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition.  a. 199 Route 22 East, Green Brook, NJ - Warehouse  The employer did not ensure that employee break areas were kept clean, sanitary and orderly.  Employees in the warehouse used a desk area for breaks, that had a microwave, that was unkempt and not sanitary.  Violation observed on or about July 14, 2020

Employees engaged in donated goods sorting activities placed goods at the edges of the exit route which narrowed the exit path.  Violation observed on or about July 14, 2020

29 CFR 1910.305(a)(2)(i): Temporary electrical power and lighting installation(s) 600 volts, nominal, or less were used in prohibited manners:  a. 199 Route 22 East, Green Brook, NJ - Warehouse  The employer authorized the use of extension cords in lieu of permanent power.  Employees used orange and green extensions cords tied to pipes and strung from the wall outlet to the center of the warehouse to power a relocatable power tap (power strip) that powered personal working lamps, fans, and cell phones.  Violation observed on or about July 14, 2020
