29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2): Within twenty-four (24) hours after the in-patient hospitalization of one or more employees or an employee's amputation or an employee's loss of an eye, as a result of a work-related incident, you must report the in-patient hospitalization, amputation, or loss of an eye to OSHA.  On July 8, 2020 a laborer who had been digging and doing concrete work for storm-piping inlets was transported and admitted to a hospital after showing symptoms of heat-related illness.  The direct supervisor assisted the affected employee and was aware of the incident and of the hospital admission on July 8, 2020, as soon as it happened. The company reported the event to OSHA on July 13, 2020.
