29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) On or about July 8, 2020 and at times prior the employer, Vista TD, LLC (Groove Toyota), did not protect QCM employees from caught-in hazards while conducting work in the QCM bay due to the UNIFLO conveyors guard being removed and exposing the back of the technician to the unguard live belt and roller of the UNIFLO conveyor. This unguarded portion of the conveyor shares the same space as the QCM bay.
