29 CFR 1926.651(h)(1): Employees were working in excavations in which there was accumulated water, or excavations in which water was accumulating, and adequate precautions had not been taken to protect employees against the hazards posed by water accumulation: (a) Dundee Resort Development, LLC. DBA Arapahoe Basin located at 28194 US Hwy 6 Dillon, CO 80435: On or about 7/20/2020 the employer did not ensure employees working in excavations in which there was accumulated water, or excavations in which water was accumulating, were protected against the hazards posed by water accumulation. Employee(s) were working in a trench that was approximately 4 feet deep that had ground water accumulation. This condition exposed employees to caught-in and cave-in hazards.

DBA Arapahoe Basin located at 28194 US Hwy 6 Dillon, CO 80435: On or about 7/20/2020 and at times prior, the employer did not ensure daily inspections of excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems were made by a competent person for evidence of possible cave-ins, indications of failure of protective systems, hazardous atmospheres, or other hazardous conditions. Employee(s) were working in a trench that was approximately 4 feet deep that had ground water accumulation. This condition exposed employees to caught-in and cave-in hazards.

DBA Arapahoe Basin located at 28194 US Hwy 6 Dillon, CO 80435: On and around 7/20/2020 and at times prior, the employer did not ensure that employees working inside an excavation with near vertical walls and water accumulation were protected from cave-in hazards.
