Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b), nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502: On or about August 12, 2020 an employee engaged in residential roofing operations was not protected from a fall, exposing the employee to a fall of 20.8 feet. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where (a) portable ladder(s) was/were used for access to an upper level landing surface and the ladder's length did not allow the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed, the ladder was not secured at its top to a rigid support that will not deflect, and/or a grasping device was not provided to assist employees in mounting and dismounting the ladder. a. On or about August 12, 2020 an employee used an extension ladder that was not long enough to extend three feet past the roof he accessed, exposing the employee to a fall of 20.8 feet. b. On or about August 12, 2020 an employee used an extension ladder that was not long enough to extend three feet past the scaffold he accessed, exposing the employee to a fall of 19.2 feet. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
