Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a) Valentin Hernandez, DBA Magic Tech Roofing, at a jobsite located at 2035 Pine Hills Drive, Lot 2018, Pataskala, Ohio 43062: On and/or preceding August 12, 2020, the employer did not ensure employees were adequately protected from falls while engaged in residential construction activities. Employees was installing roofing materials with non-safety rated fall protection equipment, thereby exposed to fall hazards of up to 12 feet.

Employees, who were conducting roofing work, used a non-safety rated rope tied off around a truss at the nail plate, thereby exposed to fall hazards of up to 12 feet.
