29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. The employer is failing to protect employees from fall hazards when conducting roofing operations on a residential structure. This was most recently documented on or about August 20, 2020 at 5635 Margo Drive, Lincoln, Nebraska when employees were observed working on a residential structure with a roof pitch less than 4:12. The employees where installing shingles while working at a height greater than 6 feet above the ground without fall protection. The employees where installing shingles while working at a height of approximately 9 feet 6 inches measured from the ground to eve without fall protection.
