One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices, electronic safety devices, etc.  a) On 8/21/2020 the Weiler DOM 14 Meat Grinder located on the L5 Plant Floor allowed employees access to the grinder blades due to the blades not being properly guarded with methods such as barrier guards and electronic safety devices. Employees were exposed to a caught in hazard while operating the grinders.
