29 CFR 1918.35: Employees were working around open weather deck hatches which were not protected by coamings to a height of 24 inches (0.61 m), or by taut lines or barricades at a height of 36 to 42 inches (0.91 m to 1.07 m) above the deck.  (a) M/V Belorient - On or about August 24, 2020 and at times prior thereto, an employee was exposed to a fall into an engulfment hazard while operating the spout to top off the grain. The employee was standing on the weather deck hatch edge which had a 12" parapet behind the employee with no parapet on the hatch side.
