29 CFR 1910.242(a): Hand and portable powered tools or equipment were not kept in safe condition:  JOBSITE:  The employer did not ensure through conducting periodic testing and inspections before and after each use of hand and portable power tools (tools), such as (but not limited to) the STIHL chainsaw, Model 5193T, to ensure the tools were in good and safe working conditions at all times.  On or about August 22, 2020, the above chainsaw malfunctioned and kick back while an employee was using to cut down branches and debris off a tree, resulting in hand, wrist and forearm injuries.
