29 CFR 1910.135(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee wears a protective helmet when working in areas where there is a potential for injury to the head from falling objects. On or about August 27, 2020, the employer did not ensure that employees working in a frozen foods freezer were protected from potential struck by hazards created by falling ice from the freezer ceiling. While employees worked the in the freezer accumulated ice on the ceiling could potentially fall unexpectedly and no head protection was worn.
