On or about July 27, 2020, at 111 Lake Hollingsworth Drive, Lakeland, FL. 338120, employees were engaged in roofing work / removing adhesive membrane on a low-slope roof, 50 feet or less in width, and were not protected from falling by the use of at least a monitoring system alone; therefore exposing the employees to a fall hazard.

29 CFR 1926.502(h)(1): The employer did not did not designate a competent person to monitor the safety of other employees and/or did not ensure that the safety monitor complied with the requirements listed in (h)(1)(i) through (h)(1)(v) of this section: On or about July 27, 2020, at 111 Lake Hollingsworth Drive, Lakeland, FL. 338120, employees were engaged in roofing work / removing adhesive membrane on a low-slope roof, 50 feet or less in width, and were not protected from falling by the use of a competent person to monitor the safety of other employees and/or the employer did not ensure that a safety monitor was designated and/or was competent to recognize fall hazards and/or would have no other responsibilities which could take the monitor's attention from the monitoring function; therefore exposing the employees to a fall hazard.
