29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees from hazard(s) created by: a) Line 1 of production: On or about August 31, 2020, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards, in that effective machine guarding was not installed on top of the Uniloy 525 (serial number 5625-2341) machine at the stripper area to protect employees from moving parts of the mold when employees clean the machine surfaces by hand-wiping them with a cloth to remove dust.
