29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(2)(ii):Shoveling, sweeping or brushing methods were used to remove lead accumulations where vacuuming or other equally effective methods were available and feasible: On or about September 01, 2020, employees were using brooms to sweep in the CNC areas, where vacuuming was feasible. The Milwaukee Valve Company, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(2)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1417647, citation number 1 , item number 11 and was affirmed as a final order on April 10, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at1075 Water Street, Prairie du Sac WI.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1) Employers shall provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new chemical hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area. Information and training may be designed to cover categories of hazards (e.g., flammability, carcinogenicity) or specific chemicals. Chemical-specific information must always be available through labels and safety data sheets. On or about September 1, 2020, new employees in the CNC area(s) were not provided with effective information and training on lead.
