29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Steen Machining, Inc. at 8510 W 110th Ave, Westminster, CO 80021: On or before 9/3/2020 the employer did not protect employees from injury in that the Bridgeport milling machine with diamond blade attachment [Textron SN#2J999742] was not guarded in accordance with this standard. This condition exposed employees to amputation and laceration hazards. (b) Steen Machining, Inc. at 8510 W 110th Ave, Westminster, CO 80021: On or before 9/3/2020 the employer did not protect employees from injury in that the Baldor pedestal-mounted belt sander [Kalamazoo 1SM] was not guarded in accordance with this standard. This condition exposed employees to caught-in, laceration, and abrasion hazards.
