29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3):Sprocket wheels and chains which were seven (7) feet or less above floors or platforms were not enclosed: a)Bottle Shop: Sprocket wheels and chains were not enclosed and were measured at 59 inches above the floor on the back side of packer machine #2. Employees were observed working in this area and exposed to the caught-in hazard on or about September 9, 2020. The Lion Brewery, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, Mechanical power- transmission apparatus, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1121933, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on March 22, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 700 North Pennsylvania Avenue, Wilkes Barre, PA, 18705.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees from hazard(s) created by: a) Bottle Shop: Machine guarding was not provided on the box conveyor near the 7oz wrap #1. Employees would walk underneath an electrically powered roller conveyor to deliver flatten cardboard boxes via a hand pallet jack to the packer machine operators. Employees were exposed to ingoing nip points and rotating parts while walking underneath the conveyor, observed on or about September 9, 2020. b) Bottle Shop: Machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator on Packer #1 from the rotating parts on or about September 9, 2020. c) Bottle Shop: Machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator on Packer #2 from rotating parts on or about September 9, 2020. d) Can Line: Machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator working near the can filler from rotating parts on or about January 28, 2021. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
