29 CFR 1926.502(i)(3): All covers were not secured when installed so as to prevent accidental displacement by the wind, equipment, or employees. location: 2nd floor, electrical closet on or about: 9/4/20 a) Employees were walking/working beside and on top of a 14"X32" floor opening that was covered by a piece of plywood. The plywood cover was not secured, exposing the employees to falling into/through the opening. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.

The plywood cover was not adequately marked. NOT STEP was marked on the cover. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
