29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Garmat USA, LLC at 1401 W. Stanford Ave. Englewood, CO 80110: On or before 9/15/2020, the employer did not protect employees from injury in that employees used a Kalamazoo [model: KC1016V, serial#10411807] horizontal bandsaw which lacked guarding on exposed portions of the blade located outside the use area of the blade. This condition exposed employees to amputation hazards. b) Garmat USA, LLC at 1401 W. Stanford Ave. Englewood, CO 80110: On or before 9/15/2020, the employer did not protect employees from injury in that employees used a Roll Former Corp. Simple U Roll Former which lacked guarding at the shear. This condition exposed employees to amputation hazards. a) Garmat USA, LLC at 1401 W. Stanford Ave. Englewood, CO 80110: On or before 9/15/2020, the employer did not crotect employees from injury in that employees were exposed to caught in, crushing, and amputation hazards due to lack of point of operation guarding on the Schechtl [model MAZ310CNC] folder machine.
