29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) At Room 236-B of the Production Area, on or about September 25, 2020, employees were exposed to a caught-in/amputation hazard while operating a Stokes Tablet Press T-7 machine without a guard to prevent operators from placing their hands into the rotating feed frame. b) At Room 236-B of the Production Area, on or about September 25, 2020, employees were exposed to a caught-in/amputation hazard while operating a Stokes Tablet Press T-7 machine without a guard to prevent operators from placing their hands into the punching dies.
