29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Akorn Operating Company, LLC. DBA Akorn, Inc./72 Veronica Avenue/Somerset, NJ - Fill Room #2: Employees engaged in routine cleaning activities were exposed to amputation hazards created by moving parts on the Kalix KX800 tube filling machine. The interlock provided for employee protection allowed the equipment to run when he doors were in the open position. Condition noted on or about 10/5/2020
