29 CFR 1926.502(d)(16)(iii): Personal fall arrest systems, when stopping a fall, be rigged such that an employee can neither free fall more than 6 feet (1.8 m), nor contact any lower level; 1620 W. Diehl Rd., Naperville, IL 60563 - on or about October 14, 2020, at least two employees engaged in roof tear-off were exposed to about 10.5 feet fall hazards likely to result in death or serious injury because of their attached lanyards' slack that was not adjusted for the potential fall distance. Employees were walking from the north to south areas of the roof to carry removed shingles for dumping into the trailer parked below. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
