29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10):  "Roofing work on Low-slope roofs." Except as otherwise provided in paragraph (b) of this section, each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system:  On 10/16/2020, workers from Lovo's Contracting LLC were re-roofing a commercial building located at 1570 Main Street, Saint Charles, MO.    The employees were working on a 4:12 pitch roof, which was approximately twenty feet above the ground, without the proper use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1):  The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program did not enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and did not train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.  On 10/16/2020, workers from Lovo's Contracting LLC were re-roofing a commercial building located at 1570 Main Street, Saint Charles, MO.  The employees were not able to recognize fall hazards and the procedures necessary to reduce or eliminate these hazards.  Lovo's Contracting LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1353921, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 3/2/2020, with respect to a workplace located at 3915 Bellvue Drive, Saint Peters, Missouri.
