29 CFR  1910.243(e)(1)(i):Power lawnmowers of the walk- behind, riding-rotary, and reel power lawnmowers were not guarded in accordance with the machine guarding requirements in 29 CFR 1910.212, General requirements for all machines:  a) On or about October 20, 2020 on the John Deere tractor, the Woods Batwing rotary cutter (Model: BW180-3, Serial: 1126990) the power take-off shafts were unguarded from contact exposing employees to rotational caught-in hazards and the employer did not ensure spinning shaft guarding was installed.  b.) On or about October 20, 2020 on the John Deere tractor, the Rhino 284 rotary cutter (Model: 284, Serial: 10661) the power take-off shafts were unguarded from contact exposing employees to rotational caught-in hazards and the employer did not ensure spinning shaft guarding was installed.  c.) On  or about October 20, 2020 on the Grasshopper riding  lawnmower (Model: 722D2, Serial Number: 5512082) the chute guard was missing, exposing employees to both debris and the blades of the mower, the employer did not ensure the chute guard was installed.  d.) On or about October 20, 2020 on the Grasshopper riding lawnmower (Model: 928D, Serial Number: 5813267) the chute guard had been tied up, exposing employees to debris and the blades of the mower, the employer did not ensure the chute guard was properly maintained.  e.) On or about October 20, 2020 on the Grasshopper riding lawnmower (Model: 930D2, Serial Number: 6210432) the chute guard had been tipped up and in a damaged condition, exposing employees to both debris coming out of the chute as well as the blade of the lawnmower, the employer did not ensure the chute guard was properly maintained.
