29 CFR 1926.651(k)(1): Daily inspections of excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems were not made by a competent person for evidence of a situation that could have resulted in possible cave-ins, indications of failure of protective systems, hazardous atmospheres, or other hazardous conditions and was not done prior to the start of work and as needed throughout the shift: On or about 10/20/2020 at the Arnolds Lane Construction Project, the company did not have a competent person trained on trenching and excavations inspect the trench for hazardous conditions and situations prior to start of work and while work was ongoing.
