29 CFR  1910.303(g)(1)(ii):  The required working space about electric equipment rated 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground, was used for storage:  a)  East Bay Maintenance Shop - on or about October 22, 2020, employees performed maintenance operations in the east bay, but electrical Panel A was not provided sufficient working space with the area used for placement and storage of a washing machine, exposing employees to fire hazards.   b)  West Bay Maintenance Shop - on or about October 22, 2020, employees performed maintenance operations in the west bay, but electrical Panel B was not provided sufficient working space with the area used for placement and storage of metal parts storage rack, exposing employees to fire hazards.

29 CFR  1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure:  a) West Bay Maintenance Shop - on or about October 22, 2020, the employer had installed a hot water heater with the use of flexible extension cords substituted for permanent wiring, exposing employees to electrical and fire hazards.  Samson Tug & Barge, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1347595, citation number 1, item 3a and was affirmed as a final order on October 30, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 8046 Rezanof Drive in Kodiak, Alaska.
