29 CFR  1910.22(d)(1):  Walking-working surfaces were not maintained in a safe condition:  A.) Liberty Iron and Metal, Inc., 200 Stewart Way, Sharon, PA 16146, 932 Liebherr material handler, on or about October 23, 2020 and times prior thereto:  Employees utilize steps on a 932 Liebherr material handler to access, and egress from, a landing platform.  The landing platform leads to a fixed ladder for access to, and egress from, the cab of the material handler.  Employees were exposed to a potential slip/fall hazard in that the steps were coated with a greasy/oil substance.  B.)  Liberty Iron and Metal, Inc., 200 Stewart Way, Sharon, PA 16146, 790 baler pump house, west side of the building, outside, on or about October 23, 2020 and times prior thereto:  Employees were using the west door of the building for access/egress.  The dike area outside of the building had an accumulation of a water/oily substance.  The accumulation created a slip/fall hazard.  C.) Liberty Iron and Metal, Inc., 200 Stewart Way, Sharon, PA 16146, Becker shear pump house, on or about October 23, 2020 and times prior thereto:  Employee utilize a catwalk within the building for work tasks that include, but are not limited to, checking pipes and checking for leaks in the pump house.  The catwalk contained a grease / oily substance which posed a potential slip/fall hazard.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below).  This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
