29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1): A written respiratory protection program that included the provisions in 29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1)(i) - (ix) with worksite specific procedures was not established and implemented for required respirator use: (a)Kwik-Way at 800 South Marion Road in Sioux Falls, SD 57106: On or about and at times prior to November 3, 2020, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from chemical hazards and hazards associated with respirator use in that a written respiratory protection program was not developed and implemented covering employees that are required to wear respiratory protection when performing work. One employee was required to wear a 3M half mask respirator when applying coatings that contain hazardous chemicals. This condition exposed one employee to chemical hazards and hazards associated with respirator use. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
