Two employees were exposed to 8-hour, time-weighted average (TWA) sound levels of 92.8 dBA and 94.1 dBA while cutting, chipping, and disposing of trees.

29 CFR 1910.95(k)(1):The employer did not train each employee who is exposed to noise at or above an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.95(k): At the Gordon's Tree Service job site on Kings Highway Westhampton, MA: On or about 11/10/2020, employees operating the Husquervana 562XP Chainsaw and Schmidt Morbark Beever M18RX Wood Chipper were not provided with annual training on the effect of noise on hearing, the purpose of hearing protectors, the advantages, disadvantages, and attenuation of various types, instructions on selection, fitting, use, and care for hearing protectors, and in the purpose of audiometric testing along with an explanation of the audiometric test procedures. Two employees were exposed to 8-hour, time-weighted average (TWA) sound levels of 92.8 dba and 94.1 dba while cutting, chipping and disposing of trees.
