29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1): Where a portable ladder was  used for access to an upper level landing surface and the ladder's length did not allow the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed, the ladder was not secured at its top to a rigid support that will not deflect, and/or a grasping device was not provided to assist employees in mounting and dismounting the ladder.     (a) On or about November 12, 2020, employees performing framing operations utilized a portable a-frame ladder was used to access the upper landing surface of a residential home under construction. Employees were exposed to the hazard of falling 10-feet to the ground below.

29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  (a) On or about November 12, 2020, employees using pneumatic nail guns were not protected from eye or face injuries.  GRM Framing,  Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1199951, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on February 23, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at  473 Corrara Drive, Rockwall, TX 75032.  GRM Framing , Inc.  was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1159973, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on September 27, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 403 Hogue Lane, Wylie, TX 75098.   GRM Framing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a),  which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1159756, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on September 27, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 401 Hogue Lane, Wylie, TX 75098.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13):Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m)  or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b), nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502:   (a) On or about November 12, 2020 and times prior thereto; employees performing framing operations were exposed to the hazard of falling 15-feet to the ground below.;  (b) On or about Novemeber 12, 2020 and times prior thereto; employees performing framing operations were exposed to the hazard of falling 18-feet to the ground  below.   The employer GRM Framing Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1328141, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 9, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 2002 Clearmist Way Royse City, TX 75189.
