29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Steep roofs. Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toe-boards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) On or about November 12, 2020 employees were exposed to a 9.9 ft. (measured on the front/south side of the property) and 23.1 ft. (measured on the right/east side of the property) while performing roofing work on a commercial roof and were utilizing harnesses, but not attached to lanyards nor any anchor points.
