29 CFR  1910.134(k)(1): The employer did not provide effective training that covered the required elements in 1910.134(k)(1)(i) through 1910.134(k)(1)(vii), to employees who were required to use respirators:  St. Clair County Maintenance LLC dba Winchester Place Apartments located at 100 Winchester Place, Fairview Heights, Illinois:  On or about 12/01/2020, the employer did not provide employees with effective training on the effects of improper fit, limitations, inspections, maintenance and care, medical signs and symptoms preventing effective use, and seal check of filtering facepiece respirators.  The employer required employees to wear N95 filtering facepiece respirators or half face respirators to protect against the inhalation of metal, drywall, and wood dusts produced during maintenance work, and the SARS-CoV-2 virus when entering  apartments with potentially positive COVID-19 residents.
