29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (a) Pharmacy - On or about December 4, 2020, the employer did not provide effective information and training for employees exposed to hazardous chemicals such as, but not limited to, Super Sani-Cloth Germicidal wipes which contain isopropanol and Quaternary ammonium compounds , Sani-Hands sanitizing wipes which contain ethyl alcohol, Pureone which contain sodium carbonate, adipic acid and surface sdbs80 and Virex II 256 which contain ethyl alcohol. These chemicals are used to decontaminate work surfaces against coronavirus contamination. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
