29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: Employees engaged in residential roofing activities at the jobsites located at 3254 W 26th St. N, in Wichita, Kansas, were exposed to falls from approximately 20 feet from the roof to the ground below, in that the aluminum ladder used to access the roof did not extend 3 feet from the eave of the roof. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1) requires certification that the abatement of the above violation is complete.
