General-duty citation text
29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): It shall be the responsibility of the employer to initiate and maintain such programs as may be necessary to comply with this part; such programs shall provide for frequent and regular inspections of the job sites, materials, and equipment to be made by competent persons designated by the employers. On or about November 16, 2020, at 17250 Boulder Lake Lane in White Lake, Wisconsin, the employer did not ensure the competent person was performing frequent and regular inspections of the job site and could have recognized the fall from elevation hazards associated with employees working on the 4 - 12 pitch roof with an eave height of more than ten feet. Changing weather conditions made the steel roofing material slippery, which was not conveyed to employees and resulted in an employee sliding off of the roof.
