29 CFR 1926.1101(e)(2):Demarcation. The regulated area shall be demarcated in any manner that minimizes the number of persons within the area and protects persons outside the area from exposure to airborne asbestos. Where critical barriers or negative pressure enclosures are used, they may demarcate the regulated area. Signs shall be provided and displayed pursuant to the requirements of paragraph (k)(7) of this section. a) NASA Tunnel #2: On or about 12/11/2020, employees worked asbestos abatement in a regulated area without demarcation to minimize the number of persons within the area and protect persons outside the area from exposure to airborne asbestos.

29 CFR 1926.28(a): The employer is responsible for requiring the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment in all operations where there is an exposure to hazardous conditions or where this part indicates the need for using such equipment to reduce the hazards to the employees. a) NASA Tunnel #2: On or about the week of 10/09/2020, employees were assigned to work painting jobs using products which contained multiple substances with recognized OSHA permissible exposure limits. The product's safety data sheets instruct respirator usage in cases where personal exposure sampling indicates exposures above the exposure limits. The employer assigned this work without having conducted a hazard assessment of employee's exposure, as determined from breathing-zone air samples measured as an 8-hour time-weighted average.
