29 CFR 1910.217(c)(1)(i):The employer did not provide and insure the usage of "point of operation guards" or properly applied and adjusted point of operation devices on every operation performed on a mechanical power press. a. On or about December 23, 2020, in the production area, employees were required to operate Punch Press #2 on a daily basis. The employer failed to provide adequate guarding for Punch Press #2. Employees were thereby exposed to the hazards associated with unguarded points of operation during the operating cycles. b. On or about December 23, 2020, in the production area, employees were required to operate Punch Press #3 on a daily basis. The employer failed to provide adequate guarding for Punch Press #3. Employees were thereby exposed to the hazards associated with unguarded points of operation during the operating cycles.
