29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:   a- Lot 43, 1 Caroline Drive, Medford NJ: Employees were exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 13 feet to the ground surface below, when accessing and egressing an upper landing surface of a pitched porch roof from an unsecured portable aluminum extension ladder whose side rails did not extend three feet above the landing surface of the roof.  Condition observed on or about 10/31/2020.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   a- Lot 43, 1 Caroline Drive, Medford NJ: Employees were exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 13 feet to the ground surface below, when walking and working from a residential structure's pitched porch roof without the use of fall protection.  Condition observed on or about 10/31/2020.   NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM.  FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
