29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v):A body belt was not worn and/or a lanyard was not attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift:Note: As of January 1, 1998, subpart M of this part (1926.502(d)) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system. The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated On or about January 12, 2021, at a job site located at 1339 N. Main St, N. Canton, Ohio 44720; during the installation of signage at a commercial store front, the employer did not ensure all employees using an aerial lift were protected from fall hazards approximately 10.5 feet by a fall protection device. The Archer Signs Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (1926.453(b)(2)(v) Aerial lifts), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1260812, citation number 01, item number 02 and was affirmed as a final order on (9/5/18), with respect to a workplace located at 4024 Fulton Rd Nw, Canton, OH 44718.
