29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  On or about January 21, 2021, the employer did not ensure the operator(s) and other employees of the  #321 Deutschland Dortmund Lathe 2300 mm swing X 10,000 mm travel with a 40,000 kg capacity machines were protected by one or more methods of machine guarding from the hazards created by the point of operation and rotating parts of the machine. There was no chuck guard or guarded work zone to contain processed materials, fluids, parts, and tooling within the work zone.
