29 CFR  OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were not protected from the hazard associated with an eye injury due to an inoperable eyewash station.   a) Spray Finishing: Employees are required to work with highly corrosive chemicals (pH= <1.0), including, but not limited to, Birchwood Antique Brown M38,  Antique Black M20, and Antique Black M24. The employer did not provide an operable eyewash station for immediate emergency use, thus exposing employees to an eye injury, on or about 1/22/21.
