29 CFR  1910.95(k)(1):The employer did not train each employee who is exposed to noise at or above an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.95(k). The employer did not institute a training program and ensure employee participation in the program:  a)   Shot blast area:  An employee operating the shot blast machine was exposed to 94.68% of the permissible daily exposure of 85 dBA (8-hour time weighted average) or an equivalent sound level of 89.6 dBA during the 394 minute sampling period on February 3, 2021. The exposure calculation included a zero increment for the 86 minutes not sampled. The employer has not provided the employee with training on the hazards associated with noise.  a)   Die cast area:  An employee operating the die cast machine was exposed to 78.43% of the permissible daily exposure of 85 dBA (8-hour time weighted average) or an equivalent sound level of 88.3 dBA during the 341 minute sampling period on February 3, 2021. The exposure calculation included a zero increment for the 139 minutes not sampled. The employer has not provided the employee with training on the hazards associated with noise.
