29 CFR OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were not protected from the hazard of struck-by and roll over hazards when operating defective and/or damaged equipment. a) USPS Spenard Station - On or about February 3, 2021 and times prior thereto, employees operated Flex Fuel Vehicle (FFV) #0230083 with a defective gearshift indicator, exposing employees to struck-by and roll over hazards.
